My honest opinion? I think there’s much more money in treating illness instead of curing it. That applies to all illnesses not just mental. In this world, it all comes down to what makes most $$$.
Yay a day for us! It’s true that research is expensive, not only mental illness, my teachers are always complaining that don’t have much money, people usually just see the numbers like the 7$ billion. For example this semester we used a reagent that costs 290$ and we only used a small fraction of it and we are students, for teachers(and researchers) they lab costs are way more expensive.
Science itself is expensive but we need it like water to live
