Making a schedule

I have been thinking of making a daily schedule, but there are a few issues. My sleep time is not fixed, I have no structure in my day, few priorities, and no motivation.

Here is an example of my tentative schedule

8am wake up
9 breakfast
10 walk
11 video games
12 lunch
1 swimming at dam
2 reading
3 video games
4 video games
5 video games
6 dinner
7 get ready for bed
8 bed time

Will I be able to do it?

Maybe but there’s a chance no.

Worth a try if it’s something you think worth trying.

I remember a time when I pushed myself to do things and I didn’t enjoy it but now in hindsight, I feel it was good that at least I gave it a good try. Who knows I could have learnt something valuable or made a new friend. From having pushed myself to charity activities back then.

It turns out I didn’t get much from those experiences at all except for memories of how things have changed to now.

I think it’s a good idea. It’ll give you something to aim for.

Lack of structure hinders productivity and invites feelings of shame and worthlessness. I know this first hand.

My sleep schedule has now long been set in stone: 10:30pm - 7am. Even during times of unemployment.

@broken

I’m also struggling with motivation. I want to just do nothing these days.

But doing nothing invites doom thinking etc and is just really uncomfortable for me.

It’s great you are considering a schedule.

It might be something useful to you.

I have a schedule and it helps me stay on track but I don’t always follow it .

I can’t wake up and sleep at the same time either.

If I try to sleep at 11 daily, I may not be able to sleep till 2-3, sometimes wake up at 8, sometimes at 9, and sometimes at 1030-11. On Sundays I sleep a lot. On some days, I cannot go to sleep the whole night. It is all over the place, really.
I was wondering if I should visit a sleep doctor?
