I had an MRI in the beginning because my neurologist wanted to reassure me I had no brainchip.
Everything turned out alright.
Never had a brain scan. In fact never heard of a psychiatrist in my country ordering one
I’ve had a couple of mri’s and a ctscan. Nothing different although my lobes were a little asymetrical. 6% of 1% isn’t a lot and I take it mri’s are pretty expensive to roll out.
I have not heard of any patient at all here that was adequately tested and treated for underlying problems of any kind. Neither psychosocial. Nor physical, like this. Especially not with MRI. Too costly - if you are a short-term thinker.
CT scan would be almost as good. I wish it was a standard routine, also. Speaking as part of the 6% of the 1%.
I had a CT scan years before I got sick and was considered to be normal. I had a CT scan when I was first ill but I don’t know if it was my head or chest they checked. Never heard back about the results either. I had yet to tell anyone I was psychotic because the voices appeared to be outside my head. I had also complained of chest pains.
