Major issues with porn

If it doesen’t work after the first 5 minutes i quit. jk :relaxed:, no I guess I’ll give it a go. I have wished to learn how to meditate anyways, so this might be a good time to take it up.

Why do you feel guilty about it (or crap) ?

Don’t know. That’s just how it is.

Seriously, it is really difficult to do more than a few minutes the first few times. Stick with it 5 minutes twice a day and build it up.

This will go back to how old the person was when introduced to porn, their relationship to it and how they felt about it at the time.

Then how it has developed over habit and time.

A professional psychologist might be needed to unwrap that one.

You can try enabling parental controls on your router if it supports it. Many do but my ISP provided router does not so I use McAfee AV to block adult sites (and when I trying to sneak round it by looking on my iOS devices without McAfee I have enabled Screen Time content filtering on them). It means I have to purposely undo my work to get to those sites and can’t just aimlessly find myself on another adult site. I don’t feel bad about watching porn to get off but I do feel bad about wasting time searching.

EDIT: Sorry just saw that you have some apps to help block it. I hope they work for you.

Yes, absolutely I have the same addiction and I know how you feel – it’s like being hooked on crack, and with smart phones it’s like your drug of choice for free and in yer pocket at all times…
I know the guilt, shame and insidious nature of it…
It destroyed my life
‘if a right eye causes you to sin, gauge it out’
I quit …
What I did was completely eliminate every single outlet of porn…
If internet makes you watch it, cut off the internet and throw your computer out the window and force yourself to quit by eliminating access to it…

It’s the only thing that worked for me :slightly_smiling_face:

The only thing wrong with porn is that you don’t accept there is nothing wrong with porn. It probably has to do with guilt. Some people even feel that way after sex.

That’s my 2 cents anyway.

I think a lot of people have porn addiction. I don’t think it’s that bad if you’re not harming anyone. I don’t think it’s something so bad, you need to commit suicide.

Is there anything that triggers your desire to watch porn that you’ve noticed??

Maybe its for religious reasons. Religious ppl think it pollutes the mind. Personally I don’t believe it and I am not religious. While psychotic I had delusions that I am Jesus and I stopped all for months, masturbation and porn, I even tried to not look at girls thinking it pollutes my mind. I still ended up psychotic in mental hospital lol

I’m not religious and I strongly believe that it pollutes the mind – it stays in your head when you go to sleep at night it’s right before your eyelids - really, seeing that filthy garbage makes you feel like a douchebag

You’re projecting. A good majority of people aren’t like that.

As rough as life gets, there’s always liquor, bacon and porn.

Who are you again?

When I had a gf I didn’t watch porn but when I am single I need an outlet for that sexual energy. Anyways everyone is different. I am not obsessed with sex or porn.

Most of the girls I’ve dated have been ugly. That made porn a necessity.
