A pot of it. Let me see; a pound of hamburger cost me about $7.50. A jar of green salsa cost three bucks. The garlic and spices were
negligible.
I was shopping at Safeway early this morning. I saw chili on sale for a buck-fifty a can. Hmmm.
Don’t forget the beans.
I forgot them. But I got them for free at the food bank.
I love chili home made better than canned chili but I will eat what I got…chili can get expensive to make…I like using ground pork and ground beef in my chili…
I love chili. $7.50 for a lb of hamburger is quite a bit less here. I wonder why?
Anyway sounds delish and the leftovers over top of a baked potato and sprinkled with cheese.
Oh did I mention I love chili?
I think they feed our cows diamonds and gold bullion and put them up at the Hilton hotels their first 5 years of life.
Gotta watch that Hollywood chow!
Ground beef is a little less in Michigan - even extra lean averages less than $5.00/lb.
When I was a child, we had Safeway in my town. No more though.
I should mention that I paid full price for a pound. It goes as cheap as $2.99 on rare occasions.
We grew up with a Safeway about a five minute walk from our house. Me and my friend used to shoplift balloons from it when we were in sixth grade for water balloon fights… We got caught about the 15th time we did it though.
Your chili sounds delish @77nick77.
Glad to hear you’re doing well.
Nice work @77nick77.
What happened when you got caught?
My friend actually got caught and not me. But he ratted me out and I had to turn myself in to the store manager and then my mom or dad had to talk to the store manager. I got grounded for a week and I was forbidden to talk to my friend for the week.
The chili sounds really good. I hope you enjoy it.
I put ground hamburger and ground venison in my chilli I love leftovers. I also like sweet corn bread with mine
