Hello again, I saw the doc the other day and he increased abilify to 10mg. He asked had i ever taken Lyrica which i have not. He said he might start me on that next week but wants to see how i am doing on the 10mg of abilify.
I asked him if i have schizophrenia. He said no. I have very bad anxiety and somataform disorder and depression he said. I will see doc again next week. I have found thankfully that the abilify may be working. I have not taken to the bed in two days, meaning before i started taking abilify, i was going to bed 5/6 times a day, spending most of my time in my room. I am really happy this is the case, some improvement. I can focus a little better i think, although i do not want to leave the house and am finding things difficult to do as usual.
I do see that steel mask in my head with gnarling teeth and saliva at times, and think my neighbours are watching me or can read my thoughts and think people are watching me when i used to go to the shops, which i don’t anymore.I told doc all this. He said I hopefully will improve.
I just thought I would update you who replied to my last post about docs visit. Do any of you take Lyrica. Doc said it is good for anxiety, which I do have badly plus fears.
I will see my homebased helper at the clinic tomorrow. She talks to me about my days and things like that.
The abilify is probably being used to just stop the unwanted thoughts/images which is something that is under the schizophrenia set of symptoms and other psychotic disorders.
It gets prescribed for bipolar 1 disorder as well at 10mg

Hi thanks for your thoughts. Hopefully the abilify will help motivate me as well. I understand it can be used for other disorders as well. Another psychiatrist thought I may have bipolar disorder but I dont get highs and then drop in mood. My mood is just low and is like that over two years now. No highs. I am extremely anxious. Have always been anxious.
Yes unwanted thoughts I do get every day but I dont know if I’m under an umbrella of different disorders. I don’t have schizophrenia the doc said, but I wonder if it is a type of schizophrenia but will go with the docs and try to get better.
Maybe he will start me on lyrica dont know till next week.
Hi thanks for your thoughts. Doc told me it would be to help my anxiety the lyrica. Taking a whole bunch of medications so hopefully they will work together to kick start me.
I am taking abilify and effexor in the morning and quietapine at night plus my thyroid meds. If lyrica is added that’s four medications for somataform disorder, anxiety and depression. The depression is real bad this past year. Just so low in mood and very flat. I think the abilify is shifting it a bit.
I need to be able to take care of myself like my self care and doing bits around the house. This way I dont know whether I’m coming or going and I get muddled a lot.
