I’m working on a few things so please excuse me if I voice myself at times.
Does it bother you when some members lurk on here ?
Like, you never see them converse, you never see them engage in any conversations, all they do is maybe drop a post in a music thread/meme thread, drop a selfie, and maybe a few likes.
And it’s just outta nowhere.
I’m not calling anyone out, I just find it odd and weird.
Can anyone chime in and explain why people do this ?
I hope you are not talking about me. I have three children and get busy with them. I come here sometimes because no one else in my life gets this aspect of me. I identify and get help from hearing everyone’s story. It also provides a reality check when I start to take the voices seriously. I seriously think I am being hexed sometimes
I lurk on here mainly because I don’t feel I have anything I really want to say, but I still like reading the posts. Not sure about other people though.
Folks can use the forum in whatever manner they feel comfortable with and that they feel is helpful for them. This is a personal choice that should be respected.
Some people browse and never post. Some people occasionally post. Some people post a lot. Some people browse anonymously without ever creating an account on the forum.
That’s why I always liked @Moonbeam, she’s very generalized. When she enforces rules, she makes sure to speak in a general sense, as to hit everybody with the same idea and not exclude anyone.
I don’t see why people can’t lurk. I mean they could be extremely shy but lonely and bored like @Leaf said. Lurking could be helping them so good for them.
