Hmmm…
I wonder if so-called normal people read our stuff and wish they could participate in our discussions.
We can be a pretty compelling group sometimes…with all of our trials and tribulations.

My therapist said he used to lurk in the background a few years ago, when he had his first sz patient
I’m not very comfortable with the idea that he’s lurking around the forum
We are so scary but oh so cool and so awesome.
Some fellow students in a class I was in lurked around here to inform themselves for a presentation about schizophrenia. Not too sure whether this was when I was still lurking or a member already.
makes me paranoid. what if someone knows me.
I wonder who are 2050 ghosts who viewed my profile.

I have 1306 or something
I told you i dont date girls Karen so stop it.
we can go casual though
I hope people do read this forum and learn from it. Just not my family or coworkers
if there is anyone else out there watching on the forum i just want to say a big hello to you and say that you are more than welcome to post on this forum at any time,
@Sarad @Minnii i only have about 707 which to me is a lucky number but i realise that i may not be that popular on here maybe bc i of what i post, maybe i am not as supportive as i should be but i still want to try and help
Thank you @daydreamer and @Hedgehog! I am a care provider - does that make me ‘normal’ and a ‘lurker’’? I read and enjoy, occasionally comment, and sometimes post. I think we are all not normal in our own special ways! If my son would get on here, I would probably drop off, just to give him the privacy of his own social group tho.
Lurker is just a term for someone who reads a forum but doesn’t post. Normal is just slang for someone who doesn’t have mental illness.
Yeah, I guess I am officially ‘normal’ - but… sometimes people wonder! Anyhoo - I have mentioned before that I am a care provider, and I hope that doesn’t make anybody uncomfortable that I am on here. It is, quite honestly, just a nice group of people who I have grown to appreciate and enjoy keeping up with!
I don’t mind at all.
In my opinion you are more than welcome on here (just don’t be tempted by the family forum) wouldn’t want to see you go
It is the post Internet age, yup people lurk. We aren’t an Open Tribe. We Have difficulty expressing ourselves in person. People are curious & want to learn.
My Therapist suggested getting a Book about Schizophrenics for my younger sister when I was struggling with expressing myself and our relationship was rocky.
I laughed. “My sister isn’t going to do any homework about me at best she will skim a Wikipedia article”. Most people get their news from Facebook.
@Vallpen Just a friendly reminder that the forum has changed since you joined three years ago; namely, the Family and Caretaker Category was moved to its own Family forum.
I’d like to direct you over to our Family forum, found at:
While this forum is for people with schizophrenia and other closely related psychotic disorders, the Family forum is specifically for people like yourself, who have a loved one they are concerned about.
Also, please let your loved one know about this forum as they may find it helpful.
Best of luck,

Er…does this mean we’re going to lose @Vallpen?
i had a feeling this was going to happen
as far as i am concerned we need all of the help we can get with this illness (including family members) that is if they wish to support us, i am sure you can post in both forums, just ask @SzAdmin maybe he will know what to do.
