This paper says “In rats, the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, perindopril, crosses the blood brain barrier and increases striatal dopamine synthesis and release”

  1. I think the paper is saying ACE inhibitors enhance dopamine
  2. Since the inhibitor of ACE enhances dopamine this probably means
  3. Naturally low levels of ACE probably enhance dopamine
  4. High dopamine levels (if you don’t know already) are the main culprit in SCZ
