For a brief time today I couldn’t get onto any Australian internet sites. That really pissed me off because I wanted to check my bank accounts and I couldn’t do it! Technology does have a habit of breaking down especially if it’s something that requires a lot of terminals and users!

Huh. I use my phone so little these days I wouldn’t even notice.
I’ve never owned a cellphone. And I’ve never texted a message before. I know…I know…I’m a caveman.
But I call these devices ‘Electronic Leashes’.
People can’t get away from the them. Their brains are wired 24/7. The brain is a muscle and needs rest, just like any other part of your body. I’m actually wondering if Apple creator Steve Jobs in a way destroyed civilization and the way we all communicate with his invention.

You’re not wrong. Squirrelette gets mad at me for making her put her phone away in the evening. She gets half an hour to communicate with the boyfriend and that’s it. She’s addicted.
