Yeah it’s kinda sad but my new cohort is more open there is someone who actively admits he’s bipolar and everyone supports him.

That happened to me too. I involved a third party to act as a go between to patch things up with my most missed friend. It worked. So think of an acquaintance of both of you and contact him/her, someone mature. The third party I chose was a former minister’s wife. She contacted my friend and told her I wanted to be friends again and would she give her her address. She did, and the rest is history.

Well, you’re not going to find any potential new friends sitting inside your house all day- right?
They are out there- out in the big bright world of outside…you just got to open your front door, and walk out.
You can find friends anywhere.
My ssi check covers the whole cost where I stay. I only get about $670 a month. I think they consider your ability to pay.
That is true and due to a suggestion posted I am going to go to a local support group Friday and see what happens!
Really now? Do you have health insurance as well as I know Medicaid sometimes covers a portion!
I think Medicaid or Medicare covers my entire health bill. I think there is a co-payment they usually expect you to pay for some services. How big it is kind of depends on how they feel about you.
Does Medicaid pay for your assisted living as well or do you pay out of pocket?
I pay for my assisted living out of my $670 monthly ssi check.
Hi Miss, welcome to the forum 
I lost a lot of friends due to psychosis too. But there’s a handful that have stuck with me over the years.
And some that I’ve sort of reconnected with.
My advice is to try and get out when you’re feeling well. Go out for coffee, or go to school, or volunteer.
I hope that makes sense.
There’s good and bad people out there. There’s still a lot of negative stigma, but there are some good people who genuinely care.
