My Dr has added lithium to my antipsychotic cocktail. Anyone else taking lithium? If so what has your experience been?
I was misdiagnosed a long time ago, and was put on Lithium for about a year.
I remember being sleepy and very thirsty for 3 weeks, then, I felt normal.

I’ve heard that the dose required for lithium to be effective is close to the dose at which it becomes toxic, so be careful. Drink lots of water and don’t sweat to much. If you do sweat a lot quickly replace the fluids. Get all the information about it you can.

I am on lithium now. I was at first very thirsty and I sweat a lot now.

I got toxic on lithium. I’m guessing it was too high a dose for me.

I’m on lithium and other than strange emotions (my emotions for everyone have changed dramatically) I’m feeling pretty good.

Any weight gain? I also heard it can give you acne:(

Yeah, I had a big problem with it on a higher dose. I have a moderate amount of acne now but only on one portion of my face. I need to add an edit here because the lithium has changed me into a completely different person, I think. I have two good friends I used to like to hang out with who I now ignore and I fell out of love with my fiancee. My aunt things this might be me maturing, but there’s also always the chance. I’ve had big personality changes on meds before though so I don’t know if you’re prone to those or not.
