Hi, I’m wondering how much can you drink while taking 800mg lithium and 500mg depakone? I drank vodca and whine today. I usually don’t drink but I drank today because it was my birthday. I also know I shouldn’t but I couldn’t resist. I also drank alot of water.
Next time Zero alcohol with these meds.

I’ve heard that the dose required for lithium to be effective is very close to the dose that makes it toxic. I don’t think a lithium overdose will result in death, but it probably is hard on your kidneys and liver and whatnot. I recommend that you don’t drink alcohol while on lithium.
