I don’t think the 2 are related.
One could also have an intimate partner (though I agree it is really hard to find one) while not being fully healthy.
However once you are healthy, you do tend to long for someone in your life to be with.

I kind of liked that Dialogue from the move - “The Shawshank Redemption” where Morgan Freemon says to his friend - “Hope is a Dangerous thing”.
Those words are truly golden. Hope is for sure definitely a dangerous thing. It is a sure shot short-cut to Insanity. You build castles on the air hoping to live in it someday only to see it crashing down eventually.

from my life experience …i knew sz is destined to me…
but we never know what god has left for us(in the future may be be niece girl)…
i am 50% optimistic and 50% pessimistic…

You have to take that chance to make it happen.
ASK that girl at the checkout if she’d like to go for a drink after work…or the gal on the bus…or the girl in the elevator…or your cute neighbor…etc.

ha ha …thanks Patrick…I would have if I was in America or Canada.
I live in an incredibly conservative society…so all of these possibilities are a bit hard.
But I do have a chance in the workplace…one of these days…(ill take the plunge )

We met when I was 24 years old. I wasn’t diagnosed Sz until later in life…late 30’s. But there were signs even back then.

there are some people who can be perfectly happy being alone and single for the rest of their lives regardless of their mental health these people are very introverted and prefer to be single but for most people finding a life partner is very important and is definately something they want to accomplish if at all possible . It is more difficult dating and finding love with mental illness or a physical disability the dating world is highly competitive whether thats online or offline but you can increase your chances of success by focusing your efforts i believe within a community of people who are specifically looking for singles who are mentally ill because they themselves are as well . there are dating websites online specifically for people with disabilities either physical or mental where you can search based on disability a new website i came across the other day is even more specialized it is only for singles with some form of mental illness who are only looking for other mentally ill singles for a relationship … its also a free site and attracts people from all over the world not just the US … www nolongerlonely com … it seems to be quite popular its " an online social community for adults with mental illnesss "
for some people its more difficult to find love for one reason or another and the internet is the global meeting place your only limited by yourself some people have to work harder for things but nothing is impossible dont give up ever

actually ive been thinking if this site doesnt work out for whatever reason i might just start a website just for that that is free i really know nothing about the site if its functional created a profile but has yet to be approved my admin there but that was less than 24 hours ago so time will tell but in any event if its not free or has been abandoned or whatever you can start a website online easily with no cost and i really cant concieve of a better use of my free time online than starting a cool new free website for people with just mental health problems to find love and happiness so im excited about the website but even more excited about the idea and if it doesnt work out will be starting a new thread there and see if others would like to join with me doing that
