We need a setting first, then characters, then a story.
I’m thinking rpg with a lot of cinematic stuff. The action and gameplay elements could really take any form there is…
Maybe even a fighter which is story driven and you always play as different character depending… nah that wouldn’t work. Everyones style would be different making the learning curve very slow… Beside I don’t know that much about martial arts…
Inspiration, Bioshock, Mass effect, maybe deus ex.
I really like the cyberpunk future world, but it always has a tendency to be very dark… It is one of the most complex and immersive settings…
I’d also be interested in something that takes place in “ancient times” a survival game in the natural wilderness of earths past. Maybe some elements of magic or alternate technologies.
This will be a virtual game… as it wont actually be made, but I’d like to have something floating around in my head to work on. Making a video game might be on my bucket list…
Anyone is free to provide input even if you don’t like games. We are all probably certainly a fan of a good story when we come across them.
I used to watch my younger brother play Zelda all the time. I loved helping him with the cheat books to see him defeat the game. I would think something like that would be a good game. light hearted.
I’ve heard good thinks about stalker… Never played it myself though. It’s hard to go back and play games once they are outdated… I’m not really into first person shooters either. The combat can be pretty repetitive and it sucks to come up against a character who has unrealistic resistance to bullets.
Do you create objects that appear like everyday objects to many but to a select few, conceal hidden data?
Feedback from me includes some statistics (data is 2013 data), an in-depth article about magic and video/virtual games and a webpage where you can glimpse at (in order to narrow down all designs) criticism regarding a redesign contest, featuring this:
A decent remake of the 1993 Ufo Enemy Unknown or if you like X-COM: UFO Defense. All the remakes have failed miserably to the original game. So you up for the challenge?
That would add an extra layer of depth for some… Are you meaning cultural or historical references? It would be a good thing to limit though as to stand alone on its own.
Not bad for a DOS game. Found a vid of the last level… Seemed a little easy. Would have to spend some time getting to know the characters and enemies as well as the tactics and what the beginning levels were like. Whoever was playing just used mind control on all the bad guys and turned them against the alien brain…
A 3D environment and a free rotating camera would bring a better sense of what was going on and the layout of the map.
I’ve toyed with the idea of inventing a Sz themed pinball table. You try to earn as many days/months/years as you can without a relapse by hitting targets like CBT, Med, etc. Having the ball go down the drain counts as a relapse.
I’m thinking I’d like to see a game with a more dynamic world then has been previously done.
When playing skyrim i often wondered what it would be like if they had included a NPC replacement system. Where their are certain roles or jobs archetypes which can either filled or unfilled. As npcs grow old and die its up to the younger generation of npcs to dynamically be fit into these roles to maintain world stability and playability. It would make the world seem a little more alive.
As time passes different quests are unavailable due to tragedies in the game. I don’t think it is to infeasable but it would lead to a lot larger save files. I wish bethesda would focus a little more on the PC experience as they would turn out to be better games. But no business is all about the consoles and working within their limitations.
Star Citizen is the only game that goes against that trend. It should be a pretty sweet space fighter explorer mmo for PC gamers. At least they are getting a little love.
I’m more concerned with the single player experience…
