Let me teach you how to fight anxiety. I beat it a panic disorder

I learned through therapy how to unplug the fear associated with anxiety and panic. I once couldn’t leave my house alone. I learned how to beat it and I have zero anxiety and panic now…do you suffer ? I can help.

I wouldn’t say you have zero anxiety. You said the other day you were unable to perform during a music festival. You also seem anxious about painting during art shows. You could probably say you have decreased anxiety, and know how to cope better than most.

I had two panic attacks today, so it appears I have room for improvement.

Kind of weird to make a thread like this, pique everyone’s interest, and then disappear for 5 hours or more with no tips :stuck_out_tongue: .

I’m interested to hear your techniques.

Nobody has zero anxiety except for maybe psychopaths.

Having anxiety is part of the human condition. Everyone feels it. It’s when it takes control of everything- like a car alarm that goes on- is when we have a problem.

I have panic- attacks and it sucks though.

Make positive statements to the opposite affect of what you’re thinking. That’s how I got rid of my excess of anxiety.

At the same time, posting about hiding from a neighbor. A bit sus.

I want to know 151515

I try feeling the anxiety. Then it is replaced by another feeling. I try telling myself to replace the anxiety with confidence. I finally get a pill for the anxiety!

Anxiety that is rational is a good thing. It can keep you safe

But panic attacks dont really serve much purpose.

I found the best way to deal is just accept the symptoms even of there really uncomfortable. Fear breeds fear so the more you freak out about it the worse it gets

They’re annoying. I was the volunteer photographer at community event last night. I haven’t been around crowds much in the past two years and I have a lot of anxiety around covid as well. Got there on time, got the photos, got out again.

I apologize after five hours I went to bed and then finally everyone wanted to post …not my fault…yes I still have anxiety when confronted with public performance but in daily life I have no anxiety.

Man, you were to tell us how to deal with it.

first thing, unplug and fight the fear associated with panic and anxiety…this can slowly be done by talking walks outside, focusing on something else besides the anxiety when it shows up…it’s not easy and it took therapy. I first practice slow breathing and focusing on something in my hand in the beginning just to practice beating the fear…it is all how you perceive anxiety. unplug the fear, unplug the anxiety…just like that.
