How long does your low moods last for days or weeks? My low moods have been going on for a few weeks. And today I had a fantastic day and was able to wash, clean do laundry and go shopping. Does anyone else relate to this?

I have good days and bad days and medium days. I can have all 3 in the same week.

My low moods can last months. I was depressed for pretty much all of 2018. But things have been better for me lately and my last period of being seriously depressed lasted for only a few weeks.
Wishing you all strength because I know depression is a real struggle.

If I go through a severe depression it can last for two months. But I get depression that lasts for a few days as well. Even for a few hours. Since increasing my lamotrigine to 200mg I haven’t had any severe episodes of depression

I was depressed for years. But i had had it so long - i stopped realising i was depressed.
I have 3 weeks good days - and about a week when my moods drops - its because my jab is due. They are reluctant to increase the dose tho - they reckon its placebo, but i beg to differ.

My mood sucks at the moment. Didn’t shower for 4 or so days. I’ve only just worked up the motivation to shower today. I have a long history of major depression. While my mood isn’t as bad as it gets when I’m not on my antidepressant, it is still low. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for this post. There are many of us who have had a lot of depression in our lives. Me too. It is hard to understand why a depression would need to be a long time. As I thought about this idea, I saw the strong relevance to our times. It’s money. I know several people with sz who are extremely poor. They are living on a few dollars a day. Like in the third world. When they are that poor, they lack some of the very basics for entertainment and happiness. I want to see us with sz somehow gain more money. Maybe it can be a dream. Secondly, Biden said yesterday there are millions of Americans right now who are deeply worried about their money. For example, losing their health insurance. With Covid, there are milllions who are now unemployed and have no income. I have to believe this is true, and it is severe. So our people desperately need money. I don’t know the solution, but this is the problem.
I apologize for not responding more directly about depression.

I mean my monthly Depot Injection. 
We call them jabs in the Uk - cos your jabbed with it! lol
