I think my body is becoming real tense at night. Am grinding my teeth etc.
I hope I am not having seizures.

Get a sleep study. I’m sure the NHS waiting list is only around 4 years.
Think you’re right on that one!

Use a mouth guard when you sleep
I had the same problem. Now, I wear a mouth guard at night, and the problem is gone!
Grinding your teeth at night is a fairly common problem. My dentist said many of his patients wear mouth guards for that reason. You can have the dentist make you a custom mouth guard. They just do a quick plaster imprint of your teeth and use that model of your teeth to make the mouth guard.
I recently had a new one made because I had ground right through some spots on the old one. The old mouth guard lasted me almost ten years so I can’t really complain.
I just buy a generic mouth guard at the drug store. Each one is like $40, and they last about a year
That’s a lot cheaper than the custom mouth guard!
I think it’s pretty combortable, too! It has squishy pads for your molars, and just a thin stripe connecting the two sides. It’s less bulky than the molded ones. I have to brush it every night, though, or else it smells and tastes gross.
Does it fit on the top teeth or the bottom teeth?
My mouth guard is molded and fits over the bottom teeth. It’s not really bulky at all (just expensive.
)
It fits between the molars. , and the stripe goes in the front.
I guess it is cheaper than I remembered.
At least stop at Walmart and buy a sports mouth guard.
DO NOT BUY A SPORTS MOUTH GUARD. I made this mistake the first time around, because they were cheaper. But it is impossible to sleep with something so bulky in your mouth.
Have you been having nightmares? Sometimes during nightmares I clench my jaw real hard, I’ve also bitten my cheek before. I’ll also tense my whole body and wake up feeling sore and like I’d been hit by a truck.
You can fix the teeth grinding by getting a mouth guard when you sleep.
