Last night I had chest pain and shooting pain in left arm

It would seem to be the indications of a heart attack…but I just had a stress test and echocardiogram done so I decided just to take an aspirin and let it pass. All my tests came back normal.

I have been having chest pain for about 3 days but the arm pain was new. I had the chest pain awhile back, which is why I had the tests done but it had mostly disappeared for awhile.

Next time I get the arm pain I might go to the emergency room but it seems like they do not detect it unless you are right in the middle of an episode so I don’t feel like wasting my time going in and have them say “Everything is fine”.

I ordered some aspirin. Going to start taking one a day for awhile and see if that helps.

If I ever stop coming on this forum, you will know the reason why. lol.

I don’t have high blood pressure. My blood pressure is always a bit on the low side.

make sure it’s “low dose” aspirin…that’s what I take for my heart.

Thanks for the advice. I just ordered regular Bayer aspirin.

I ordered some low dose now.

81mg

My doctor had me on that every other day as a preventative measure when I was overweight and in bad shape. I no longer take it.

@Bowens Heart problems are serious, you should get it checked out especially since you’re feeling it in your arm. Even if it’s nothing better safe than sorry.

In Canada if you walk into a hospital complaining of heart problems they skip you to the front of the line because it’s that serious.

Heartburn causes similar systems. Drink water and take omeprazole over the counter can help. Hope you feel better.

Thanks @anon55031185 . Yeah, my doc already prescribed me heartburn medication because this is ongoing. It was the chest pain along with left arm pain that has me thinking there is a possibility it could be something more serious. It’s not really a burning sensation like you would expect heartburn to be. It varies between a dull ache and a sharp pain. I dunno.

Might want to get Apple Watch having ECG certification. Helps in detecting atrial fibrillation.

Heartburn doesn’t cause arm pain. Good step taking action and getting an ECG.
