Laptop causing anxiety

I noticed that 9 out of 10 times when I’m struggling with anxiety, it’s when I’m sitting behind my laptop.

I don’t have this issue when I’m on my phone.

Maybe it’s my posture?!

It’s kind of a mystery to me.

Anyone also getting anxious behind their laptop?

I doubt that your posture is contributing to your anxiety. Maybe you are doing something behind the computer which you are not doing behind your phone?? Perhaps you are drinking coffee or something?

I do more or less the same stuff. I study more on my laptop but I also become anxious behind my laptop when I’m not studying.

Or maybe it’s the association. Who knows?

Weird then. How are you today Johnny???

I just had dinner, I’ve been up since 01:00. I had chicken with curry and rice.

I’m going to rest a bit then I’ll make some coffee.

The weather really sucks. It’s +12⁰c and raining.

It’s 21°C here today.

I’m just chilling and drinking some water and coffee.

I have an appointment with my pdoc in 3 hours. Hoping to go to 5 mg of clozapine. The final step before quitting.

Are you going to go to bed soon?

Wow, I hope we get some sun soon.

Ok… I hope everything goes well. I’m too scared to even think about lowering my meds. But you seem stable enough. No symptoms, from what I can tell??

I don’t know. I want to sleep later so I can be up during the day. I’ll fight against the sleep as much as I can. But I’ll probably fall asleep on the couch as I usually do when I try to push things.

Just voices and anxiety.

But my clozapine doesn’t really help with my voices. It just keeps me calm.

But I’m not staying on clozapine for anxiety. I would rather manage on my own or take something different.

You must stay awake @Speedy . :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I have anxiety, voices and cracked brain.

No meds has done anything to combat the voices. Nothing helped.

Calm? How are you when you don’t feel calm?

I understand. Yeah, no point in taking a drug that doesn’t do anything. Have you thought about seeing a psychologist to understand your anxiety better? Or perhaps you are like me, there’s no reason. Probably bad circuitry in the brain?

I’m using the force!!

I feel sedated and a bit drowsy on clozapine. Like I’m sleeping but still awake.

My anxiety started when I quit my benzo. Previously I didn’t struggle much with anxiety.

May the force be with you!

Why on earth were you on benzo’s when you didn’t have anxiety? Benzo’s are the sh-ittiest drugs to take!! I only recommend them if your anxiety is off the charts.

My pdoc prescribed them to me because I was dealing with tension issues and the benzos helped me to relax.

Probably a mistake to take benzos for that.

I suspect your anxiety will go away because you weren’t struggling with it earlier.

For me it’s genetic. It tends to run in our family. My uncle’s suffer from anxiety and panic- attacks.

But I refuse benzo’s.

That’s cool that you have the attitude to refuse to take them.

For me it’s sometimes an easy fix as I still take them as a PRN.

I read in my course that 300M people suffer from anxiety. So you’re not alone!

Could be the association, it’s linked to stress because you are using it to work? maybe?

Could be.

I’m back from my pdoc.

we are tapering from 10 to 5 mg of clozapine.

One more month and I’ll be on only 2 meds.

Looking forward to that.
