Kitty kins, great horned owl, gray hair, staying on budget and other majorly important details of my life

Last night, or in the wee early hours of the morning, I went out to smoke, and my lovely Kitty Kins joined me. She started to wander off, most likely to go potty and rustle me up some breakfast of field mouse. All of a sudden, we started to hear a hoot hoot from a nearby tree. The call of a great horned owl.

They do eat kitties and bunnies and any other critter they can get their talons into. I called to Kitty Kins to get back in the house just as she was turning back, wide eyed. We ran inside to safety. It was a close one, we both almost perished. lol.

As I sit here typing, out of the corner of my eye I can see one of my crazy gray hairs twanging about willy nilly. I love gray hair. But I don’t know why my gray hair is kinky curly when the rest of my hair is stick straight. It’s odd looking.

I showed a lot of restraint on the first of the month shopping this month. Now if I do good about staying on budget at the grocery store all month, I should have a little savings built up.

That’s my rambling. For anyone who made it all the way through, what’s going on in your head right now?

Leafy, I think you would feel very guilty if something happend to your cat when she was outside. Don’t you think it would be better for her to be an indoor cat? Theres too much danger outside.

Yes, I would feel bad. You are right. But I would feel bad if something were to happen to my children and yet I had to take them to preschool that first day. I feel that being outside with nature, running in the field, climbing trees, hunting, having a territory, is all part of a cat’s natural instincts. And in order for them to feel happy with their life, and whole, they need a little freedom to roam.
