She ended up prescribing me 5 mg Haldol prn instead of the Xanax and said Haldol is used for the paranoia and delusions that I’m having.
She reassured me it’s used for that and it’s safe to take and fast acting.
I’m trying my best to trust her. I’m really trying. Ugh!!

I dont have any prn’s. Wish i could get valium or something. I guess if your main issue that needs to be dealt with quickly is paranoia or delusions, then a benzo isn’t going to do much for it. My positive symptoms are under control so my main concern is social anxiety for the moment. When it comes to mental health anyway. But because i have a history of addictions i cant get them. And also in australia it seems they rarely prescribe them. It sucks because sometimes it feels like my only option is alcohol for a prn. Not that i use it much at all. Maybe once every few weeks.
