I really hope people don’t mind if i share my cake making on here. I don’t really have anyone else to share it with. Anyway, here are the most recent cakes.


These are Chocolate Mud Cupcakes! They were a crowd pleaser at work.

This last one is for all you gluten free individuals. It is a Flourless Orange Cake with Orange Syrup. You brush the syrup on the outside of the cake, kind of like i did with the lemon cake.

So who prefers what cake?

Good job making them neat and symmetrical. When I used to cook fancy desserts they usually came out lopsided or worse, lol.

Ooooh. Does the almond meal make it a lot denser than regular flour? I think I might like the nuttiness. Either way, that is definitely a cake I’d like to try. Especially covered in syrup. :yum:

The cake itself isn’t very dense. You whip eggs together with sugar as the first step to make a light, fluffy batter, then you fold the rest of the ingredients in. This stops it getting dense. And you’re right, the almond meal makes a nice nuttiness.

I’d like to watch these Chocolate Mud Cupcakes as they feed my eyes more! Really beautiful works!

I made sticky rice powder dumplings this evening. It’s hard work for me because the shell of rice powder tends to leak after put fillings inside it. Once in a blue moon I make this type of food.
