It was direct deposited in my account today. I’m a SSDI person who doesn’t file taxes and isn’t claimed as anyone’s dependent. It was 1200 and is listed as ACH CREDIT IRS TREAS TAX REF ON 04/29
Which is weird since it’s the 28th. Maybe they’re going by east coast time. I’m in Oakland, CA.

Damn, the government should give you an additional $1000 for combat pay just for living in Oakland. That’s a rough place.
Yeah it’s not exactly what I had in mind when I decided to move to California. I was expecting girls in bikinis and heels like I see on the shows, but turns out I ended up living in a place where every parked car has a club on it and there’s trash and feces every 6 feet on the sidewalk. Some of it’s from dogs, some of it’s from people, and it stays there forever unless someone goes through the gross process of picking it up and throwing it away. And it’s expensive to live here to boot!
Fortunately we’re looking at living somewhere else now that my mom is finally getting her settlement money from getting hit by a car 15 months ago. I can afford to chip in a little rent and I have savings for a car, we just need to get through the covid-19 crisis first.
IDK, this is kind of random but the Sacramento area has a lower cost of living in lots of parts compared to Oakland and there’s nice places to live. But you’re right, this is not a good time to move.

Sadly I won’t get a stimulus check. Hopefully I will get social security at some point this year though.
