Job hunt so far is

Unsuccessful. I applied to more warehouses today. I think since I’m only available 12-15 hours per week it’s making it tough to even get a part time job. My mom is sending me a little money to help out thankfully. I didn’t ask for it either. So it’s extra generous. I guess I’ll wait and see.

Keep going. I know how hard it can be looking for work, as I had this a lot when I was self employed.

Is there any way you could increase your hours?

No. I don’t want to lose my disability

Would it not pay more to work than restrict yourself to these hours?

Is there any opportunity out there that would make you take the leap to something more?

I’m still being followed and recorded and I’m not sure I can handle working at all, let alone full time so I can get benefits from a job.

@LilyoftheValley are you sure you haven’t gotten the job that you already interviewed for yet?

Have you tried employment agencies? That can be a really good way to go sometimes. If you use an agency they usually partner with a bunch of businesses to find workers. You go to the agency, fill out an initial application, show them a resume and than they do all the work of finding a job for you.

I’'ve used several with moderate success. It might be good for your situation so instead of driving or taking the bus all over looking for a place or making a bunch of phone calls looking for a job with the hours you want, when you"re talking to a worker at the agency, tell them you specifically only want 10 or 12 hours. Then they will eliminate looking for companies for you who only want full time workers.

Temp agencies are good too if you just want to just work for a few days or a week or two to make some money while you look fot other jobs. And of course everybody knows that if you are working a temp job somewhere, if they like you and your work it can often turn into a permanent position.

I haven’t heard from them yet so I’m thinking they don’t want me. They said I’d hear something this week sometime but they haven’t called so I’m not hopeful

Good idea @77nick77

Don’t give up without a fight! Call them and ask if they filled the position yet. Show you’re interested. If they filled it already that’s just the way it goes. But if they still have an opening and you call them you are going to stick out in their minds as someone who really wants the job over other applicants who didn’t even care enough to call and didn’t bother to call.

Good point. In the interview, the guy said he was passing me off to a lady who would give me a drug test order. When she talked to me she didn’t give it, and just said she’d let me know sometime next week (which is this week). So I called on Monday and left a message with her about needing to do the drug test and she never called me back. Do I still call? @77nick77

That’s a couple days in between calls.
It’s kind of a judgement call whether to call this soon or wait until Monday.
She kinda owes you an explanation of why she didn’t do as she was supposed to do. TBH, it’s a little bit of a bad sign that she did that. It’s a little unprofessional that she did what she did without an explanation.
I would call her and politely ask about the drug test form. As long as you’re not calling every day, several times a day I think a quick phone call wouldn"t hurt. I mean getting hired is serious business and she should not leave anybody hanging.

I’ll call Monday. I don’t want to seem aggressive

Hang in there. Keep yourself flexible and someone will hopefully pick you up. It’s a tough market at the moment over here and I’d imagine it’s the same over there. Keep strong and keep applying.
