Instead of spending the equivalent of $10 a month on the lottery I’m going to spend it on an audiobook. I don’t have the concentration to read, but can listen to audiobooks.
I used to love reading, so I’m excited about this.

i used to use these in school all the time because I hated reading
How exciting! I know it must be hard not to be able to read. I don’t know what I would do if I lacked concentration, Probably listen to audiobooks like you!
That’s a great idea. Have you checked out the sites that have free public domain works read by volunteers? I compiled some awhile back for a blind friend and I don’t recall the sites offhand, but I could find them again. We put a bunch of classics on his ipod. He got free audio books on account of his blindness, but it wasn’t unlimited and he needed more material.
I found audible to be expensive and couldn’t run it through my stereo easily, but I love listening t audiobooks. So easy to just sit there and let the imagination be taken for a ride…
Oh… That looks like a pirate site. It’s against the rules to post such links. Can you edit your post and remove the link? Or we’ll both be in trouble!
This is one of the ones I used. If you google free public domain audio books you’ll find others.
I never tried a audio book, I have one here on cassette
If you keep it up most of your new investments will be in earphones.
