@martinhersey1 . You are a key member in my current attempt at recovery. The wisdom you bring with your experience in living as long as you have with mental illness is a most valuable asset. Please I’d not for yourself, for we the youth, do your best to refrain from such thoughts. You would be missed if you were gone. And while we are at it @crimby too.

I’m planning on living until I’m 50 years old. Unfortunately, right now I’m 56.

I’ve reconsidered. I don’t want to die at 90. I know too many vital and vibrant 90 year olds. I’d rather go at around 110. They are real ready then. Everybody forgets that I live in an assisted living center. I know.

I like growing old… it is a bad thing for some but I like gaining experience in things that matter to me.

I think I would like to live a while, but that could change if I end up suffering too much at some point. I’m not afraid to die, but I’m not in a hurry either. I guess I’ll just wait and see…

I don’t want to live that long. I will probably go of a bad heart attack in my seventies the way I’m with a belly…that’s not good for your heart. I am dieting and we will see…I did stop smoking so I’m better off that way.

My mother died young at 90. I can say that because every one of my aunts (3) lived to be 98. Me, i like to win and on the day that dying would be a win, I will die.

I would decide to live longer than that if I were you. I know many, many people who are much older than 90 who are alert, physically robust, active and happy.

I still want to live a long and healthy life, have my own place someday and have a boyfriend maybe.
