to improve the health of long hair, you should cut an inch or two every three months. this helps a lot.
you can also use a hydration cream, one that doesnt fall out of the tub when you turn it upside down.
avoid using towels on your hair and dont brush it while it’s wet…
you dont have to buy expensive vitamins, just make sure you eat foods which promote hair health and growth, like walnuts, tofu, soy milk, salmon, mackerel, broccoli, cauliflower.
i personally do all of these things
as for the question, i love my hair and for me my haircut is my main acessory. i always used to get compliments on my hair because of the cut/style. i think hair is something thats always worth looking after.
Ever since I started using Shae Moisture Strengthen and Restore for Damaged Hair shampoo 2x/week, and Shae Moisture Curl and Shine Conditioner 2x/week on my hair, it’s been much healthier. I’ve been using them for a year now, and it’s a huge difference. I also use other sulfate free, paraben free shampoo and conditioner the other times I wash my hair but Shae Moisture has really made a difference for me. It took about a month to really notice the difference. I now like my hair. Oh - and I’m going gray too but my gray is evenly dispersed throughout my hair and right now has more of a look of highlights
@Charles_Foster You had me thinking you were taking costly medication for your ass! “Expensive ass medication” lol.
I used to love my hair. It had nice wavy curls and was super long. Then I had 6" cut off (Read: over a foot). I am still grumpy about that. To make matters worse, the purple dye straightened it out. I still like my hair well enough, but I don’t love it.
Keep it long. You have a lifelong relationship with it.
You can go gray, it will be a new texture. When you want to experiment with color, you can because it is temporary.
But I’m going gray and stopped coloring for a long time now. Coloring gray is more resistant to color. But I’m not gonna fight the gray. When younger, i colored for color sake. Not to hide grays. But i think if i wanted to change things up i can color up the gray too.
Still not sure how to fix the texture of gray hair and make it not wire-y.
I’m a frequent head shaver(every few days). I have this slim growth of hair on top that looks clownish if i don’t do something about it like shaving. I have a well proportioned head so it fits me(the bald look).
