it let people know I wasn’t soldier. that I wasn’t my brother. trouble with a capital T.
now that my hair is falling out I have to grow a beard for the same effect but truly it’s not the same.

I always loved my long hair. I wore it down to my hip up to the age of 40. Then, it started to thin out a bit, so, I cut it to shoulder length. When I hit age 48, it really started to fall out in a big way, so, I buzz cut it at first. Some people thought I was a man but, that did not bother me in the least. But it did bother my female lover. So, now, I wear it in a feminine looking pixie cut. And I keep my hair naturally gray. She loves it this way.
Yeah I miss my long hair too
I used to have long hair, but i have the opposite problem to you. I have such thick hair that it is hard to take care of it. The amount of shampoo and conditioner you use, then the time it takes to dry and then style just takes too bloody long. So now i have my hair just below shoulder length. It really needs another cut but i’m too lazy to get it down.
I liked it too for a while but I think my face outgrew it now I keep my hair short always.
Well lol I didn’t get a haircut for a year before March. Never again though
I had long hair in high school but ever since I joined the military I have worn a high and tight.
Definitely don’t miss having to shave every day though.
I had long hair several years ago, then i went back to buzzing it. Now i’ve noticed as it starts to grow back in it looks a lot thinner than it used to. I can see scalp through the hair now. So i guess that means i have to keep it buzzed from now on out. No more long hair for me.
