The last time I was extremely suicidal the ER doctor gave me IV ketamine. I immediately started to hallucinate and hallucinated the entire time he had the IV going. The hallucinations were very vivid and exaggerated. Once he stopped it the hallucinations stopped and then I felt really good. It didn’t stop them from hospitalizing me even though I changed my mind about needing to go. I don’t know if ketamine is helpful for depression if you get multiple treatments, but it definitely gets your attention.

Aww, I’m so sorry you were suicidal and that you were hospitalized! I hate that you experienced that!! And WHOA, that sounds terrifying!! I’m glad you were okay afterwards! @Leaf Thank you for the information!
