It's that kind of world

I remember watching the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”, and in this movie this guy was rounding up orphaned kids living on the street, and he would cripple them and maim them, so that they could be better beggars when he sent them out to beg for money, and then make them hand over that money to him. I think they did that in the past in England, and probably other countries, too. That kind of thing seems totally outrageous to us now, but young people are probably being turned out to hustle for money for some pimp even today. People will always find a way to exploit each other. Charles Dickens wrote about the fates of unwanted children in Elizabethan England. So did Charlotte Bronte. I’m about ready to tell the whole world to jump in a lake.
