I got my wife some custom-branded merchandise with the logo of her old employer. It was her dream job until the place got closed, so the mugs and cups she has left are really important to her.
I gave my daughter a pro camera body earlier this year and I bought her some good used lenses to go with. I’m getting her all kitted out.
I don’t have a cat to buy for now, so I’m done.

I love how black Friday is forever a month long thing now lol. It’s like second Christmas. And January we have New years sales. So the entire winter is like “buy stuff you don’t need!”

I finished my Christmas shopping already, I just have to make some homemade sunflower brittle and fudge. I did a Diamond Dot project for my mom and dad and got a puzzle made that has pics of me and my dog. Also got my dad a jerky variety gift bag. I pretty much live in poverty so have to spread my spending over several months.

I was watching to see if the Complete Calvin & Hobbes in hardcover would go on sale, but it’s not.
I found a Facebook group for the comic and I have been deeply enjoying revisiting it.
I have mostly moved away from collecting things in print, but this I need.
It gives me the feels.

I watched an interesting piece recently about how the alt right co-opted Calvin as a symbol of their awfulness. The author, bill waterson, would be completely disgusted by the whole Calvin peeing on things memes

I had a huge fight over my brother-in-law on this one. He is a Ford guy and had a Calvin peeing on the Chevy logo on the back window of his truck. I stopped speaking to him until it was removed. He wound up removing it because my wife told him she agreed with me and it made her ashamed to be related to him.

Exactly! It is bizarre
My mouse came in. It kept shifting into different colors which made me nervous so I set it to stay on one color, dark blue! Now it’s a cool mouse
