It sucks that I'm on 7.5mg zyprexa and not 5mg

On 5mg I was much more outgoing, could laugh and had more feelings and was happier.

Maybe I can reduce to 5mg in the future. I’m hoping.

I think you should bring this up with your pdoc.

I’m on 5mg now. Symptoms are under control, just have to make sure I sleep OK. Sometimes I have increased the dose just to sleep better even though I had no symptoms.

Maybe I will try out 5mg sometime. I’m a bit worried about the anxiety that may come up though. Last time I tried 6.25mg I got anxiety after a couple of days and went back to 7.5.

7.5 is what I’m on and it’s as low as I will go. 5mgs is like a subclinical dose and you may find it’s not good enough to take care of your positive symptoms. It’s always a gamble even when you are stable to adjust meds but talk to your doctor. My shrink is good at suggesting what he thinks is a good idea or to back me up when I want to give it a go and change my medications.

Zyprexa always made me mildly depressed. It’s a grey world when I am on it. I gain weight and sleep a lot the whole time I’m on the drug. Actually, sleeping a lot doesn’t sound too bad right now. I could go for about fifteen hours of sleep.

Doesnt really affect my sleep that much.

I’m on 20mg. I don’t know how it affects me psychologically? I have forgotten how it used to be without it.
