It´s really hard when all your heroes did it

I mean to be able to not smoke weed, and still be a “jazz” musician.

This reminds me of when the author Stephen King described his alcohol addiction. He used to glamorise it to himself to perpetuate his continued use of it. At a later date he considered it all rubbish and that it didn’t help him create at all.

Perhaps you could learn from this…

If your hero smokes crack is it still hard not to do it?

Weeds overrrated. Especially for someone with a psychotic disorder

A lot of the old jazz greats were into heroin…

Weed was enjoyable for about 5 minutes before the psychosis set in.

thanks labrat

Yeah a lot of people went into drugs because of this. In jazz, a lot of people wanted to play like Charlie Parker, and ended up consuming his drug (heroin).

Man it´s pretty hard to quit old habits…

I also developed panic disorder from my first and only try of it. I really don’t like that stuff.

I hallucinated from it several times. Then i was dissociated for like a year.

Best part is my friend fell asleep and left me alone to deal with the high. I was sniffing pepper for what felt like hours.

Oh yeah my blankets turned into a mountain of skulls, the poster on the wall the ladys tongue kept lashing out at me. Then i saw a guy pushing a wheelbarrow on the wall.

And yet ive still been dumb enough to try it again in hopes of its medicinal purposes lol

It’s like poison for us SZs. I still have neurological side effects like vibration in the body.

I’ve had some really bad highs, and some great ones as well.

It’s the great ones that still make me wanna feel something different, but the bad ones remind me it could happen again.

Sucks.

Yeah I don’t blame the people who it helps. It’s just that it can go horribly wrong like it did for me.

I dont really like the feeling of pot. I used it a lot as a youngen but these days if i smoke a little i get prettt anxious and its not enjoyable. You dont need to trip out on drugs to be a good artist in my opinion.

Yeah, but when creativity is about to finish, I tend to try and prolongate it artificially…

Definitely you don´t need it for creativity, but it can emulate the process.

Ringo, George and Paul all said all the music they did while stoned was crap. Whenever they did music while stoned they had to go back the next day and re-record it.

Thanks, Nick.
Yeah it´s artificial, I´m talking about motivating yourself by listening to music stoned. So the next day you can practise with motivation.

IDK it works for me

@dreamer54 i disagree. I think that weed usually clouds the mind and warps the senses. Everyone ive ever smoked with or been around when they smoke it, they become a lot more dull and slower in the head. And thats a damn lot of people. But thats just my opinion. Im not some neurologist.

That´s true, but motivation is so big factor that it doesn´t matter, as long as you do it.
