I’m afraid of the hospital too. But sometimes it’s a necessary evil. No trusted neighbors to watch your kids? What does your husband say when trained, experienced doctors tell him that you need medication? This isn’t the 50’s. Medication has been around for 60 years. Medication is the MAIN treatment for schizophrenia. It is proven to work. Medication is not a theory. It is a tested, proven, way to treat schizophrenia. People need to understand these FACTS.
He says a lot of things. Big pharma, doctors being bribed etc. It’s really hearsay in this situation. No, no neighbors.
He needs some education about schizophrenia and medication.
No. Every time he educates himself, it’s worse. He needs to trust me is what he needs to do. My husband is highly intelligent and he means well. I refuse to hear words against him.
He hasn’t tried to, he will try to if he thinks the meds are making me have suicidal thoughts.

How would I know?
I have so many seemingly rational reasons to end it all, but I like to acknowledge it as damage done and hopefully a lesson learned. I figure I’ve been through what I’ve been through I can’t take the easy way out just yet. If it’s even the easy way, what do we know?

Your doctor should know about your suicidal thougts.

The side effects are not supposed to be put in line of comparison with the damaging effect of getting psychotic. The suicidal thoughts come due to depression and you have to fight them. Everyone would wish to this life if it’s destined to stay like this but we need to be strong and fight back. You are not supposed to get paranoid if you adhere wit your medication have you missed any? Any words that have been said about your husband were said for your well being sake not offending him. Am not defending anyone but this community was made to help reduce the suffering and work as one. Call your pdoc and ask him to get you into hospital if your husband objects then so be it it isn’t his choice it is your issue and there has to be professional interference to help you. Sorry but I’m in rush and thoughts in rush and I wish you well. Keep well and don’t be afraid everything will be okay.

i mean like to talk to someone, an individual,
there is suicide prevention hotlines you could phone, maybe that will help

Phone calls scare me, this is helping though.
