You let go. Acceptance. These are obvious words. But when you accept that you have no control over most of the things you are insecure about. Physical appearance is always #1. Now isn’t that silly??? The 1 thing in our life we have the least amount of control over. Our genetics and genetic makeup. Yet we try to change those things, compensate for those things. Do this do that. When I stopped caring about such shallow things it allows me to confront other people’s shallow nature. If that makes sense.

But simple things like not smoking. Moderate sugar and coffee. Controlled alcohol consumption. 2 fruits and 5 veges a day and a brisk 30 min. walk outside would solve part of my problems. It’s in the mind to stick to these.

I still take some offense to people who attack things I was insecure about.
But now I make jokes about it. Rather than getting red and the face and ignoring it then hold resentments. I kinda question “why must you say that? As I know now it is not my fault”.

I think its the freedom of speech you are referring to. It’s difficult to learn to respond and not react to situations. You are a great artist.

It’s more like i believe in free will but I also believe in determinism. I believe in nurture, but I also believe in nature. I think these 4 concepts are balanced within one another. So if someone attacks me I can say “it’s BOTH my nature and my nurture you are attacking”. Somehow I feel that lets me off the hook a bit. Sure I have free will, but everything is ALSO pre determined. So sure I’ve made mistakes. But then that mistake was “meant to be”. Is kind of what I’m saying.

I looked up determinism. It’s too much for my sz mind. This end up for me in a discussion of higher powers which is religious.
Either you mix up “me and you” or you think i am attacking you. I like to discuss or debate. I don’t want consciously attack you.

Determinism is a scary topic for a lot. I think of it though like “even if you had a time machine, it was your destiny to go back and change time with your machine” so you can’t change the future. Try to change the future. It was already your destiny to do what you tried to change. I hope that doesn’t mess with your delusions yes determinism is dangerous in religious sense but not in common case.
