Listen, I don’t know if you are schizophrenic or not but I know that usually with delusions you are convinced 100% of the time but it’s possible that it’s also a delusion if you are convinced 50% of the time
It’s all depends on what pdoc you get and what he ‘thinks’ you have. One might say it is the other won’t. Psychiatry is a joke
Also depends how much the said delusion is impacting your mind and how obsessed you are with it, I think

You can be delusional without being schizophrenic. Yeah, I shouldn’t have said “might”. As others have said, we can’t diagnosis you but your symptoms sound like schizophrenia symptoms. You are most likely schizophrenic but you need to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist who knows your delusions.
If you’re delusional but not schizophrenic then what are you? Just delusional, like delusional disorder? My psychiatrist thinks I’m schizophrenic (the one in the hospital). My NP also thought I was schizoaffective, I think. Because she prescribed antipsychotics. So did my psychiatrist on the outpatient. She also said that there is no evidence that my boyfriend is the devil.

Why should I believe them?
Because it’s three separate doctors telling you this. Part of their job is diagnosing people. They get paid to help people. They don’t take diagnosing lightly. Even if you feel you don’t trust them, use your brain to think and figure out that they want to help you.
You want to believe outlandish things like you’re going to become dictator of a country. But you don’t want to believe three trained professional mental health workers who tell you you have schizophrenia?
