Is there variety in your life?

Or do you prefer a nice, stable routine? I confess that my computer is enough excitement for these old bones. Good food, an occasional shower and a bed is my mainstay.

That’s definitely what I prefer.

I kind of have a routine I guess, lately i’ve been feeling like a boring person lol. Doesn’t bother me but I’ve been getting this feeling these days.

I think I prefer variety in stuff I’m doing but some things I would like to be more stable

I like having a routine, going to my clubhouse every day and seeing my friends. I hate weekends cuz they’re so unstructured.

Stability helps in controlling my symptoms. Whenever we go out of town, i always ended up hallucinating. I have fun, but my symptoms and my anxiety is much worse. Staying home and staying in routine helps.

Routine is necessary for me to negotiate the negatives. I do get out and do different things though. I think you can definitely do the both and get a decent balance.

I had a routine at work for almost two years: Monday, clean the upstairs restrooms. Wednesday, clean the downstairs restrooms, Friday, vacuum the whole building. Got in at 10:00 am and did my routine until 4:00 pm. Lately though, they’ve been switching me around and having me clean the lobby or sweep & mop the offices or do low-area cleaning. I admit, I was used to the same old routine for 2 years and liked coming in and knowing exactly what I’ll be doing but now I like doing different tasks, they’re often easier than cleaning restrooms (which isn’t that hard). It makes the day go faster to do new tasks and makes the day more relatively interesting. I say relatively because janitorial isn’t that complicated or exciting. Saying hi to the soldiers or having small conversations breaks up the monotony though.

but i don’t have to deal with peoples ■■■■■■■■. which is good.

A stable routine is nice but change is the rule of life… so its kind of like going on a journey i guess. We should keep a nice steady pace but the surroundings will naturally change a lot, uphill downhill, obstacles and so on.

Thats adds a bit of chaos which helps us grow so i dont mind a bit of change once in a while either.

In short:
I flourish with routine.
I am terrible at creating it.

GIve me stable any day. Adventure is tiring. I did a lot of that in my 20s, and while I’m totally 100% 24, I quit adventure. Schedules are fabulous.
