Is rice and chicken healthy?

Cooked chicken strips with brown rice and vegetables. I don’t use sauce but put on curry powder and garlic powder.

I can stick with this as I really like it. But does anyone know if it’s suitable as a component of a weight loss diet?

For weight loss I would cut out the rice and just eat chicken and veg.

Sounds ultra healthy to me.

Brown rice is much better than white. It’s a slow releasing carb.

Man but I love the rice :grimacing:. But I hear you on cutting out the carbs

Yep carbs are delicious, that’s why I’m overweight.

I recommend soaking the raw rice in cold water for a few hours and draining before cooking. It will release some of the starch and arsenic so will contain fewer carbs. As recommended by some one else, brown rice is more diabetic friendly. But black rice is good, too. It’s just kind of expensive.

Yeah brown rice is better but you don’t have to deprive yourself from the white rice.
Just maybe eat less rice.

I’m having some white rice myself today.

Yah, you could mix the rices together, so it’s tastier. I wouldn’t recommend eating more than half or a full cup of rice per serving.

The brown rice and veggies sound healthy. Are the chicken strips breaded or plain skinless breast? Breaded strips are higher in calories and have more fat and carbs. The pressed meat ones are probably full of extruded chicken arseholes as well.

Plain skinless breast strips

Outstanding. You are nailing it.

Well, rice has carbohydrates so too much of it would not be good. If you’re going to have rice, brown rice is better than white rice.

It depends on how much you eat. Just have one serving of rice and measure it so you know it’s really one serving. Have 4 oz of chicken. Splurge on veggies so long as they’re not cooked in butter or whatever like oil and cheese etc.

Similar to how many others have stated. Remove the rice and try to cook the chicken without the skin, no bater and steam. Do not fry the chicken in oil.

Chicken arses are the best! Ever wonder that eggs come out of the same hole as poop with chickens? There’s a feed store here that sells dried chicken feet for dog treats.
