Is porn healthy in moderation?

Or do you think it should be avoided altogether?

From what i know it’s a pretty nasty industry.

I masturbated in a porno and only got a thousand crowns for it which is much less than your supposed to get.
I didn’t have a voice to ask for more or say no or speak up for myself in a way.
I’ve always been timid stuff.

I heard of girls going to hospital because the sex damaged them and wasn’t gentle but too rough on them that it hurt them and they pretend to enjoy it for the camera.

From what I’ve understood most girls don’t enjoy it but pretend to for the money or because they were told to.

My boyfriend watches porn all the time.

I don’t watch porn.

Maybe there’s porn out there I would feel ok about but otherwise it’s not for me really.

I don’t masturbate.

Only one I’ve had sex with for two years is my boyfriend but we might be on a break.

My mums man was morally against porn and hated the industry.

I think it’s healthy because it keeps the “clockwork” going. Otherwise I could take it or leave it. Not a fan of the industry.

It’s healthy even I watch a little every now and then

What do you mean by clockwork?

The reproductive system.

In moderation, sure. I dated someone that ended up being addicted to it though and hated porn for a while after that. But now meh. I enjoy it

I think I was addicted for a brief time a few years ago. Maybe for about 6 months. My wake up call was surfing a porn site at 6:30 in the morning while I drank my morning coffee. Yikes!! That’s where everything changed for the better. Now I watch in moderation, I could take it or leave it. Sometimes it does the job sometimes it doesn’t

As long as you don’t get sucked in, I think you’re okay

You can always watch the soft side of things only one person

I don’t think it is healthy at all, but it only will seriously interfere with things if it is used chronically. Tame stuff once in while isn’t going to hurt, but daily HD stuff will leave you high and dry.

I hate pornography. I usually end up watching it. A lot of those websites are sickening as you scroll through the videos there’s a lot of underage girls and I just quickly scroll pass them. I wish I could kick the habit but don’t have a girlfriend currently so it’s hard.

I believe too much porn can cause anxiety for some people, that’s the case for myself.

I don’t think it contributes positively to mental health, quite the opposite if used too much.

I try to avoid it nowadays, a little probably won’t hurt but it’s easy to get addicted (at least that’s my experience)

For me it’s bad. I feel unwell after watching, even if it’s just a little. I guess it’s different for people. I saw a documentary on it and there was this editor for a porn company whose job was to review 80% of the movies they made. He would typically watch through 6 hours of porn a day. If that was me I would have wound up in the psych hospital after about two days.

Anyway I try to avoid it, but every once in a while I give in. I always regret it when I do.

I regret it too when I do. Does it cause anxiety for you as well?

Kind of. I can feel that I am stressed and tense afterwards. This can last for many days before getting normal again.

I wish they made more movies like “The warmest color is blue”. It’s a erotic movie, but non-porno.

In moderation it’s fine

Years ago, before I got religion, I would watch porn all the time. I enjoyed it for my purposes. But I was the most abjectly miserable person in the world. Later, when I quit watching porn, I became much happier.
