Is it safe to be on a beta blocker and Sertindole (Serdolect)

I’m 3 years on a beta blocker called nobiten 5 mg, half a pill in the morning

My doctor is going to take an EKG this friday, and before possible prescribing the anti psychotic Sertindole (Serdolect)

I’m currently taking Asenapine 10 mg for psychosis, any ideas friends?

I’m also struggling with severe negative symptomsm my pdoc doesn’t believe my lyme story. I’m also very worried… I do put all my hopes on this medicine

Never heard of those meds though I do wish you my best!

Serdolect isn’t available in my country, so I can’t use my usual interactions checker on it. Sorry. I would assume your doctor knows what they’re doing, though.

Hi @Ninjastar thanks too, an US psychiatrist doctorofmindmd on youtube said to be carefull with this one and EKG’s monitoring are needed. so yes I’m worried

If I had to guess, I would say it might cause prolonged QT effect in susceptible patients. But an ekg should show if you’re one of those susceptible patients or not. My doctor told me the QT vulnerability is genetic, and they can detect it. But definitely ask more questions to your doc. I would imagine an american doctor on YouTube would be biased against drugs that aren’t available in the US.

My Geodon requires ekg monitoring, too. I go in once a year, they make sure my heart is fine, and that’s the end of it. It’s been nearly six years and I haven’t had any problems.
