Negative Symptoms are dangerous to treat be carefull!

I’ve tried minocycline for first time and after 3 days i had no negative symptoms plus a total remission of schizophrenia symptoms, i quit it on taking on day 2 because it caused severe depression, but apparantly there was enough to activate the positive effects after 2 days on it,

but i didnt continue to take it when it kicked in because i skipped 2 days, so i wasnt sure… that was so bad for me to do, this thing can cause lupus too and etc

afterwards 1 year later now, 4 attempts, it works but now it give me dangerous side effects like heart pain, IBS, very strange effects, i know the minocycline works, but it’s just too dangerous

anyone knows any options?

my psychiatrist keeps me on abilify and seroquel XR provigil and ativan but negative symptoms are very bad

i’m tired…

Have you tried Amisulpride? It’s an antipsychotic good for negative symptoms. It’s not so effective for positive ones though, but you can take it on lower doses alongside with your current medicines! Ask your doctor! Good luck!

tried them all except for sertindole and my lovely psychiatrist said in the corridor, DOCTOR do they still prescribe sertindole (serdolect) he said no, another psychiatrist said yes

its all a mess you know i even tried sulpiride, and it did helped but caused panick attacks

Hi jeroenp! Serdolect must be a good medicine, but it is dangerous as the other medicines you mentioned! It can cause heart problems!

Redrose, indeed i am very scared to try, i havent asked it to a psychiatrist in 10 years even if its helping, its QTc interval is 45 ms higher then geodon 20 so that’s kind of dangerous, mine is 386 ms and the deadline is 450 ms i heared so yes…

i’m not sure i will even try this…

a USA psychiatrist told me that it can cause arrythmias, that’s why it’s not approved in the USA

smart of them, i hope they come up with a solution soon

I used to have one negative which I got over after some time. It’s flat emotion, meaning lack of emotions. If you care about this symptom, it may be fixed in the future!

I too tried minocycline for a few days and it had a very strong effect but it made me depressed, I stopped it and I snapped out of it in 2-3 days.

Try ‘loving kindness meditation’. There’s some evidence for it mitigating negative symptoms, detailed here

and there’s a good Guided LKM at the following
