Is it real that a very low dose or a low dose of abilify is like amphetamina ?.
Have you experienced it ? and with what dosage of abilify ?.
I don’t think so, Abilify blocks dopamine but less than antagonists. Adderall increases dopamine through 3 mechanisms and dopamine is a full agonist.
I Hope not, I think amphetamine would make psychosis worse.
When I am on an only 5 mg or lower dose of Abilify it kind of amps me up.
I went to 7 mg and it started calming me down more and sedating me and I take it somewhere around 10 or higher Would calm down my thinking a lot more than 5 mg.

I think mildly it acts like it. Im taking 5mg with 6mg haldol and i had renewed interest in things with it. It made me feel less dead.
Abilify made me hyper. They eventually took me off of it. I do think it might have lessened my negative symptoms.
No way. Like aziz said, ap meds reduce or block dopamine. Whereas amphetamines increase dopamine a lot. Abilify is just not as sedating as other antipsychotics it seems. Thats what i think anyway.
All antipsychotics have a similar mechanism of action. That’s why there is so much expectation with KarXT. Too many side effects.
