What reason? It’s my med from start…
If docs say u have sz. Then maybe u do.
There’s such thing as a sz spectrum, I think.
I’m on a sub clinical dose.
I still get side effects.
We all unique and react differently to meds.
I don’t want to alarm too many people, but 400 people died from clozapine use last year alone.
It is the UK’s largest prescription death rate.
It has to be carefully monitored and strict rules when it comes to not drinking alcohol MUST be adhered to.
What is the reason clozapine caused or is linked to 400 deaths? Do u know.
People aren’t closely monitored enough. Patients aren’t fully informed of the consequences. Constant blood tests need to be maintained.
People drink on it.
Are you on Clozapine?
No I am on abilify
Thats quite high given that szs are only in the thousands not millions in UK, and drug resistant only in low thousands
why not ask to switch to a different medicine instead. there are a lot of them.
I’m scared of trying new meds
well ur scared of clozapine too and that is more understandable to me. i used to take 350mg clozapine and it was hell. i had tons of side effects and weight gain. more side effects than i had from any other med. if u arent happy on it and wanna quit it u can always try something else.
Idk if it’s worth staying on meds
you always say u dont think u have sz too. and i think maybe thats cause they caught it early like they did with me. but when i went off meds this last time it got worse. way worse. i think when they catch it early and u take medicine it stays milder but when u quit the medicine it gets worse everytime. i was diagnosed young too.
I think even 60% of Sz’s wanted to give up their meds but finally learned their lesson later on and finally excepted meds in the later age. You migh have fears and might need to get some fear reducer medication. Paranoia is kind of a mode of being feared and you should tell about that to the doctors. Also you should not feed your fears.
They know I have paranoia thats why they diagnosed me with sz
Maybe you should tell them that your meds don’t stop making you feeling bad vibes?
idk maybe little bit of paranoia is normal
True.
Wats the point of being on them then.
Unless they think it’s preventing her getting full blown psychosis
Yes, a little paranoia is normal indeed, but if you fear to die it doesn’t sound like you have only little of it.
