Is it okay to quit invega sustenna (117 mg) cold turkey?

Hi,
I’m currently taking invega sustenna 117 mg once a month… I was wondering if it’s safe to quit it cold turkey? I’ve been on it for almost a year… I read online somewhere that someone said it does leave your system slowly after you take it anyway… And they said it would be okay to quit it abruptly… I was wondering if that’s true or not… I only had delusions twice within two years… I was never that bad… I never heard voices… I am worried the medication is making me more tired… Thank you for any replies…

There’s a topic called “Has anyone came off of invega sustenna?” Almost all of us quitted it cold turkey.

Invega Sustenna half life is 49 days, it takes 6 half lives to be out from your body, it tapers itself.

Please don’t drop anything cold turkey. You might feel okay for the first few weeks but then withdrawal will creep up. Talk to your pdoc about lowering your dose.

You could do it for one day maybe but not much longer than that.
