Is it ok? I sometimes get anxious in social situations and hands start to shake. Does anyone else have this? Im on heavy meds and my pdoc keeps me offering antiparkinsons agents.
That.may be tardive dyskinesa. I had it. You can reduce meds or add tge Parkinson’s meds.
Thank @anon4362788 , just I am afraid to relapse. I had tried previously artane (antiparkinsons med) and it sent me into horrible delirium, so I rather have shaky hands than to take meds for it.
I refused meds for it, too.
Are you able to stop shaking if you focus on it? That’s a key trait in TD. I have benign essential tremors, also called familial tremors, so my hands shake
It happens mostly when im anxious, no I can’t stop them until a stressful situation passes.
It could be something like what I have. Does anyone else in your family have tremors?
ETA: My essential tremors started when I would get anxious and have become more consistent with age. My daughter now has them when she’s anxious or stressed. Not saying that’s what you have, but it’s worth asking a doctor.
Seems the same as you have, my grandmother was diagnosed with parkinson’s.
Mine isn’t Parkinson’s by any means. Everyone on my mother’s side, plus my sisters, shakes. No Parkinson’s, though.
I have tremors in my hands as well. Pdoc said it could be from the meds or it can be the familiar tremor.
