Is it normal for an Antidepressant to make you feel like crap?

I’m an anomaly, lol. Stimulants don’t trigger my mania.

I wander if a simulant would trigger me, I not sure if it worth the risk.

It could. Certain ones trigger panic and anxiety for me. Usually over the counter stuff like Stacker pills.

5 hour energy give me a lot of anxiety.

It depends a lot. A friend got her life back with an AD. I cannot use them, without turning into a zombie and then raging lunatic in withdrawal (Effexor) or a hypomanic idiot (Sertraline).

Did you have a delusion of batman while on Lexapro?

I was making a wild and exaggerated claim to make it a joke. Lexapro really is the only ad that has had any effect on me. I got off it awhile and it was a bit worse off, the Lexapro made my pain unemotional. Now when I’m down I’m dark, depressed.

Oh, hope thing improve for you.

I have a little more voices on Wellbutrin but feel better. My life was worse without it.

first 2 days i felt like suspiciously good which led to me getting anxiety and stopping it thinking i didnt need it or fearing i will become manic (which never happened). i did this multiple times as i read bad stuff about ad’s. ultimately i settled on taking a small dose and have been on zoloft a few years and while its not magical, my depression is improved. starting and stopping meds are the two hardest parts of taking a med, if a pdoc prescribes it i take it and once it evens out then make decision whether its right

SSRI Antidepressants make you a bit numb. The stablise you a bit cutting out both the lows and the highs. They stop you from feeling crap but they don’t help to make you happy either. If you are feeling terrible all the time then they will help. Maybe other classes of medications are different
