It’s getting closer for hay here in Minnesota. Hope I don’t get drafted by my grandpa to help him cut down his field. I don’t mind the work as I just hate the heat.

Would you get to use a machete? Cuz that would be fun!

Almost looks like Iowa, but the corn is usually a lot taller here. But other than that, you could’ve told me it was a small town in southeastern Iowa and I would’ve believed it.

He just bought a new hay mower but I don’t think he’ll need my help this year. You had to ride on his old hay mower very, very close to these cutting teeth. It scared the heck out of me every time. Apparently he doesn’t trust me to drive his tractor. :no_entry_sign:

Oh having a riding mower would be about the best thing about having a large plot of land to me. I would love mowing the grass if I had one of those puppies. I’d just grab a soda, put on the headphones, and kick some grass’s ass in comfort and style!

Never heard of a hay mower before.

Riding lawnmowers are sweet. But I feel bad every time I hit a frog. Poor things.

Have you always lived in a city? I prefer the country myself. The best part about the country is that you can get away with peeing outside. And four wheeling or snowmobiling.

I’d go nuts living in a city. I’ll work rural wages if I can have some peace and quiet.

Yeah I live in Oakland right now. I used to live in the suburbs in northern Virginia though. I almost got arrested for peeing behind a dumpster at the campus parking lot in college. It was a 20 minute walk to the restrooms, cop just decided to let me go thank goodness.

I also prefer the country to the city. We plan on moving out of town soon, so I can’t wait for that.
