all the weeds around the barn anyhow, that will be enough massacring for one day.
That’s hard to do in this heat. I’ve tried doing yard work in the heat and have gotten high fevers from it. I don’t do it anymore as a result
well the weed whacking is slow going. i ran out of string and had to lop down like 6, 8 foot tree saplings. i think instead of dividing up the work into 4 days, i may work all day to see if i can’t get most of it done in 1 day. i will probably change my mind when it gets hot soon, today it’s supposed to be 94 degrees, but it wasn’t that bad this morning. i started at 9am and worked an hour before running out of string in the weed trimmer. now waiting for dad to get home and restring it haha. i could probably figure out how to restring it, but i don’t want to learn haha.
got around the barn done, maybe i will do more, maybe i will quit for the day? only one more time weed eating after this, before winter. i am going to love not having any yard work in winter, let it snow let it snow let it snow haha
I used to work on a golf course. Hella weed whacking. Wasn’t my favorite but it helped pay for my first car. So it had good motivation. We also raked sandtraps and collected lost balls and stuff at that job.
i also worked on a golf course for 4 seasons, the worst job i did, was pull weeds out of sand traps and dig a drainage trench with a shovel. most of it was riding around on the greens mowers or changing the holes, or for the sand traps we had a piece of equipment called a “sand pro” we would drive around the sand traps to rake the sand traps, i can’t remember if i ever raked one by hand with just a rake, usually that was “mikey’s job” haha poor guy.
Lol we had 99 traps to be raked every morning . Me and one other guy would rake. Sometimes the older dude who was probably on coke/crack would demonstrate to us and he was crazy lol. But real funny. Good times.
