Is it good to scrape junk on the front of your teeth with your nail?

Is this ok and beneficial?

I do this in combination with thoroughly licking my teeth. I think this is a good alternative if you haven’t brushed

4 or five inch lenght is okay imo

I mean it might help remove plaque but it also introduces bacteria from under your nails to your mouth and bacteria from your mouth to your fingers. You would need to wash your hands before and after doing this to minimize risk and at that point you might as well brush imo.

No. Scraping your teeth with your fingernails is not comparable to brushing your teeth

Nobody is saying that. My point is if you’re not at your sink, I’m suggesting using your nail is better than nothing

Of course you want to brush with water regularly

fair point. I think it’s good to remove plaque when there’s no water around, like a tooth pick but for plaque

A tooth pick or sterile cotton swab would probably be better than your nails. Or you could always keep these around. You don’t need water to brush with them.
